Pain‑aware Yoga:
Move, Breathe, Restore
A friendly, supportive yoga class created especially for people living with — or who have lived with — pain
I completed my yoga teacher training in 2025 which I believe beautifully complements my work as a physiotherapist. Over the years, I’ve seen how yoga can support healing, ease pain, and encourages a reconnection with the body that brings comfort, confidence, and a sense of empowerment.
I’m excited to bring these two approaches together in this yoga class to help you build strength, balance, and ease in your body.

Who are these classes for?
These classes are open to anyone, all bodies at any stage of their yoga journey — whether you are completely new to yoga or have practiced for many years.
You don’t need to be flexible or strong.
Just curious, open, and willing to explore what movement and breath can offer you.

What to expect:
These classes are all about moving with compassion, listening deeply, and exploring what feels possible in your body — without pressure or expectation.
Yoga is used gently and thoughtfully as a way to reconnect with strength, balance, and ease, supporting you to move with more confidence and kindness.
I invite you to join me in taking a deeper look at some foundational themes of yoga that are closely connected to the understanding and treatment of pain.
Each class involves breathwork (pranayama) and asanas (physical poses). There are lots of opportunities to modify the poses and take a rest when needed as well as options for stronger poses if wanted.
Together, we can grow, learn, and support one another on this journey.

Yoga has been an important part of my life for many years, supporting me through injury, illness, and emotional challenges. Through these experiences, I came to understand why yoga is called a practice. It’s not something to complete or perfect — it’s ongoing, adaptive, and ever‑changing, just like life itself. I thoroughly enjoy the movement and the physical benefits it has given me – who would have thought that I would ever be able to do a headstand or a handstand in my late 40’s?! I have met so many wonderful people through yoga, but it has also given me other gifts too – feelings of peace and steadiness, how to slow down and be more mindful, how to be more compassionate and kinder to myself and how to breathe well. I am so grateful that I attended that first yoga class in Sydney so many years ago and I’m excited to see where my yoga practice continues to take me.

I really hope you can join me. If you’d like to reserve your space or have any questions about whether the class would be suitable for you, please get in touch.
It would be wonderful to spend this time together — moving, breathing, and finding a little more ease.
